Hi! I am the woman who carries around trash (paper, cardboard, empty plastic bottles, etc.) in her purse. Why? Because there aren’t recycling containers on every corner in Odessa. So I carry them around until I get home and sort them into my own recycling containers. And then what? The City of Odessa doesn’t come and pick up our recycling like some cities do. So, I load it up into my car and take it to the recycling center myself. I actually break a sweat doing it. But I’m not complaining. I was born and raised in Odessa and I didn’t even know that some cities picked up recycling until my sister moved away. I don’t want to complain about it… I want to DO SOMETHING about it. I want to pick up YOUR recycling from your porch or curb and take it to the recycling center for you. I believe that more people in Odessa would recycle if they were offered this service. Just like the city charges to pick up your trash, I will charge to pick up your recycling, only, my service is optional. If you CARE about recycling, but you just can’t find the time or the willpower to put in the work it requires, then this service is for you. Let’s be less trashy!
